Misty Gallo:
Educator. Researcher. Advocate.
As a Distinguished Doctoral Fellow at the University of Arkansas in the Department of Education Reform, I have worked closely with colleagues and mentors in researching the shifting education landscape with a special focus on school choice policies.
With extensive experience as a teacher in various educational settings, I have observed the challenges students, parents, and educators face. My aim is to empower families, helping them make informed choices in their educational journeys.
Shifting my focus from the classroom to being a PhD student, I am discovering that tools and research methods can provide the data-driven guidance practitioners crave. However, the relationship between parent, teacher, and student is irreplaceable in a student’s educational journey.
